Techniques for empowering & using daily affirmations.
The most important step in using affirmations is to develop a habit of commitment to your daily affirmation exercise. Great things come to those who are patient and persistent. Do yourself a favor, and starting today, make a 90 day commitment to do your affirmations for at least 10 minutes. Once in the morning, when you wake up, and once in the evening, before you go to bed. Write you affirmations and stick to it. Isn’t your happiness and dreams worth 20 minutes a day?
Positive and Present Affirmations
When using or developing your affirmations, write them out in the first person, in a positive form and in the present moment. Even if they are not true; yet. Your mind will process whatever you feed it and it is best practice to avoid negative words. For Example,
Instead of Writing or Using:
I Will Not Feel Unhealthy and Unhappy Later.
Write or Use:
I Feel Happy, Healthy and Great Right Now!
By stating affirmation is the positive and present form, you mind and subconscious will be able to process the exactly outcome you wish to create.
Write Affirmations in Cursive Form
There is something powerful about writing you affirmations in cursive form.
The flow of the word is complete and the movement of the writing is transferred from the mind to the pen, to the paper, and back to the mind and to your sub-concious mind. You will also be visually taking this information through your eyes. If you want to make this even more powerful, say it out loud as you are writing it. This way you will be focusing three of your senses to the affirmation; touch, sight, and sound.
Use the Mirror
This one will take a few minutes to get use to but it is also an extremely powerful technique.
When you are finished writing your affirmations, take the paper and go to a mirror. Look yourself directly in the eyes and say you affirmation out loud. Repeat each affirmation 10 times to yourself in the mirror. This will help drive it into you sub-concious mind.
Believe, Believe, Believe!
Even if it is not true yet, you’ve got to fake it til you make it.
Whether you are writing it on paper or looking into a mirror, you’ve got to believe that it is already true or create a sense of what it feels like if it was true. This is an absolutely important part to you affirmation exercise. Your emotion or feeling ignite a spark and continues the fuel to your affirmations, thoughts, and desires. Make sure you start a practice of believing in your affirmations, an important fundamental fact in bring your affirmation into reality.
